My name is Dan Monahan, and I have been handling personal injury cases for the past 28 years. After representing major insurances companies like the Pennsylvania Manufacturers’ Insurance Company, Prudential, Aetna, Insurance Company of North American, Home, Royal, and The Hartford along with many others when I first got out of Villanova Law School in 1978, and after representing injured people for the past 20 years, I thought it was time for someone to write a consumer oriented, easy to read and understand, no holds barred Consumer Guide to Pennsylvania’s Confusing Workers’ Compensation Laws and Work Related Accident Cases.
Education:
Daniel F. Monahan graduated cum laude from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 1975. Thereafter, he graduated from Villanova University School of Law in 1978. He later received a Masters in Law from Villanova University School of Law in 2000. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Advocacy and is a member of the Chester County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations as well as the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association. He is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the Federal District Court and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. He is certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, an organization accredited by the American Bar Association and recognized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. After working as House Counsel for the Pennsylvania Manufacturers’ Association Insurance Company in Philadelphia immediately after graduating from law school, Dan worked for a number of Philadelphia insurance defense law firms where he handled and tried cases involving negligence, products liability and medical malpractice. In 1987 he started his own practice in Chester County.
