Q: Does a businesses' obligation to protect its customers or patrons also include a duty to provide adequate security?

A: As discussed before, in Pennsylvania businesses have a legal duty to protect business invitees (patrons or customers) from criminal har.  That duty imposes liability on businesses if they fail to discover that intentional acts of third persons are being done on the premises or are likely to be done, or failing to give an adequate warning to enable visitors to avoid the harm or otherwise protect themselves against it.
