A:
If you are successful in obtaining Social Security Disability Income, social security is entitled to a credit for any workers' compensation received. For instance, if your monthly SSDI payment is $1200 per month and your workers' compensation is $400 per week (or $1733 per month) you would not receive any SSDI benefits until your workers' compensation is either reduced or stopped. If you receive private disability insurance, any credit will depend on who paid the premium for the insurance.
