According to the New York Law Journal, (5/28, Fass), Brooklyn's Poly Prep Country Day School has experienced a severe setback in defending a suit brought by nine former students who claim that the school for decades covered up the actions of a sexually abusive football coach who worked there from 1966 to 1991. The court ruled in favor of the students' motion to force the school to release personnel files and investigative records, as well as allowing the students to collect testimony from the school's current and former headmasters. The students allege that the coach, now-deceased Philip Foglietta, was protected by the school over the years as he sexually abused "hundreds" of students.
