Galveston-Houston Archdiocese sued over alleged priest abuse

As reported in the Houston Chronicle (7/2, Turner), both female and male members of a family have sued the Galveston-Houston Catholic Archdiocese, claiming that they were repeatedly molested by a now-dead Houston priest in the 1970s. The complaint alleges that the archdiocese “knew or should have knownâ€� of the priest’s propensity or molesting young children. The archdiocese argues that it never received a single complaint about molestation until the family’s was filed in 2007.
