Indianapolis archdiocese settles abuse case for $199K
According to the AP (5/12), the Archdiocese of Indianapolis has decided to settle in a lawsuit brought by a man alleging that he suffered abuse at the hands of a priest as a child. The archdiocese agreed to pay the man $199,000 and apologize publicly for the abuse. In his lawsuit, the man claimed that when he was 14 years old, he was sexually abused by a priest at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Indianapolis.
