Los Angeles Archdiocese yet to disclose allegedly abusive priests’ personnel files

In the “L.A. Now” blog a the Los Angeles Times (5/4), Victoria Kim wrote about the largest priest abuse settlement in U.S. history, which included an agreement that the Church would release to the public the personnel files of the accused priests. To this day, that promise has yet to be met, even though some who felt that Church authorities had been indifferent to their accounts held the document release to be just as important as the $600 million that was the other half of the agreement. As of now, only one of the “throng” of attorneys originally working on this case is still seeking release of the documents.
